Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 June 2026
These terms govern your use of Pogtape ("the app"), a desktop application for creating and publishing clips from Twitch live streams.
1. Acceptance
By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What the app does
Pogtape records a local DVR buffer of a live stream, lets you create clips on your own computer, and—at your request—uploads clips you create to your own connected accounts (YouTube, TikTok) or Discord. The app runs locally; we do not host your content.
3. Your responsibilities
- Rights and permissions. You are responsible for the clips you create and publish. Only clip and publish content you have the right to use, and obtain the streamer's permission where required. Respect the terms and community guidelines of Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, and Discord.
- Account use. Keep your connected accounts and devices secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your connected accounts.
- Lawful use. Do not use the app to infringe copyright, harass, or otherwise break the law.
4. Third-party services
The app integrates with Twitch, Google/YouTube, TikTok, and Discord through their official APIs. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for those services' availability or decisions.
5. No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Live-stream capture relies on third-party tools and unofficial stream access that may change or break at any time.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
